The original bar, at the heart of the room.
Stand at the bar for a properly cold martini, a glass of red, an hour that turns into two. The same bar that has always been here — brass, stools, low light — kept exactly as it should be. Stay for one more.

French classical and English cooking, done the way it ought to be. Steak frites, roast chicken, dressed crab, proper sauces. Sunday lunch when the time comes, and the puddings you remember. Full menus closer to opening.
