About

A North London bar and brasserie.

Opening soon at 94 Haverstock Hill, NW3.

A first word

The Belsize Bar & Brasserie is opening soon at 94 Haverstock Hill, in a historic North London pub building.

A bar, brasserie, garden and The Chef's Table for the neighbourhood.

The food will be generous and seasonal, rooted in classic French and English cooking: good produce, slow sauces, Sunday lunch, and familiar dishes cooked with care, patience and a little old London confidence.

The original bar remains at the heart of the room, with good wines, cocktails, draught beer and a short list of things to eat while you stay a little longer.

More will be shared closer to opening.

A building with a past

The Belsize sits at 94 Haverstock Hill, in a Grade II listed building with a long history of hospitality.

The site has been associated with public houses since the early eighteenth century, most famously as The Load of Hay Tavern. The building seen today was rebuilt in 1863 and has lived through several names and chapters since, including The Noble Art, The Hill, Belrose and The Haverstock Tavern.

The Belsize is the next chapter.

A North London bar and brasserie shaped by the building's history, the neighbourhood around it and the kind of hospitality that feels warm, familiar and quietly special.

The room

A glimpse of what's coming.

The building is being carefully prepared for opening. We will share more of the room, the bar, the garden and The Chef's Table as the work develops.
